Entrance
The Rock Art Center is located in a small
museum, but most of the attraction is the petroglyph trial.
|
Inside
Researchers work on reconstructing and investigating
petroglyphs, their age, origins, and meanings.
|
The Path
Exit through the rear of the museum to the start of the
quarter mile trail to the Hedgepath Hills petroglyphs.
|
Picnic Area
Out back there's a picnic area shaded by some Palo Verde trees.
|
So Why Have Rocks?
Right Rachel? Someone had to climb them or we wouldn't have
anything to look at!
|
Squirrel
Just a squirrel. I guess he can't read.
|
Petroglyphs Nearby
There are numbered "stations" along the self-guided tour
so you can refer to the guidebook for information.
|
Stickmen
Obvious petroglyphs. Now we know what the ancient people
looked like :)
|
The Dragon
This petroglyph is called the dragon for obvious reasons.
