Deer Valley Rock Art Center

Entrance
The Rock Art Center is located in a small museum, but most of the attraction is the petroglyph trial.

Inside
Researchers work on reconstructing and investigating petroglyphs, their age, origins, and meanings.

The Path
Exit through the rear of the museum to the start of the quarter mile trail to the Hedgepath Hills petroglyphs.

Picnic Area
Out back there's a picnic area shaded by some Palo Verde trees.

So Why Have Rocks?
Right Rachel? Someone had to climb them or we wouldn't have anything to look at!

Squirrel
Just a squirrel. I guess he can't read.

Petroglyphs Nearby
There are numbered "stations" along the self-guided tour so you can refer to the guidebook for information.

Stickmen
Obvious petroglyphs. Now we know what the ancient people looked like :)

The Dragon
This petroglyph is called the dragon for obvious reasons.

Logo
The coupe de gras. Lower right is the design that the Rock Art Center's logo is fashioned after.
